The Pair window during a meeting called Autumn launch riff. Maya says “So the line is: Hold on to October.” The line is kept with Command Shift L and lands in Notes with the cue “the hook”. Then the meeting stops, and Pair writes it as a Creative summary: the hook, a test against the cozy line, the mascot in the icebox, and next steps.

You don’t need a better record of the meeting.

You need the brief, the idea worth testing, the decision with a name next to it. Most notes tell you what happened. Pair helps with what happens next.

How it works

Hear

No one else joins the call.

Pair hears your mic and everything your Mac plays, from Zoom, Meet, Teams or a huddle. Lines arrive as people talk and settle as they finish.

Keep

Tap a shortcut when a line should outlive the meeting.

Pair keeps the whole line, not a timestamp, and puts it in your Notes. Type a word beside it to say why.

Write

Stop, and say what the meeting was for.

Pair writes it as that: a General summary, a Planning readout, or a Creative brief with its tests and an icebox. What you kept is in it.

Correct

The transcript is the source.

If Pair misheard a name, fix the line. The summary knows it's out of date, and one press rewrites it from what was really said.

One meeting can be written three ways. Switching back is free. Each one is written once, and again only if you change the notes or the transcript.

Questions

Is Pair another AI notetaker?

It keeps a transcript and your notes, but those are the raw material. Pair’s job is the thing you need after the call: the brief, the plan, the next steps, with the lines you kept inside them.

Does a bot join the call?

No. Pair hears your microphone and your Mac’s sound directly. Nobody new appears in the call.

Does Pair record people without them knowing?

No bot doesn’t mean no notice. Pair shows when it’s listening, and it’s your job to tell the room. Some places require everyone’s consent to record.

Which meeting apps does it work with?

Anything that plays sound on your Mac: Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, a Slack huddle.

What if the transcript is wrong?

Click the line and fix it. The summary marks itself out of date, and Update rewrites it from the corrected transcript.

Windows or Linux?

They’re on the way. Pair starts on the Mac, and needs macOS 15 or later.

The meeting’s over. The work shouldn’t start from zero.
